A Cook on Monday Morning Production

We’ve seen wave of interest nationally in advancing longstanding advocacy around police reform and reparations in the aftermath of the Murder of George Floyd. Recently, I published articles about reforms we need in Housing Policy and to create an Economic Agenda specifically for the Black community. In my opinion, both these strategies must include reparations.

In this Cook on Monday Morning exclusive interview, I got to speak about these issues directly with US Senator Michael Bennet of Colorado. I was fortunate to meet Senator Bennet through my good friend and mentor Glenn Shannon. Senator Bennet was one of the 20 plus candidates that ran for President on the Democratic nomination this past year. He suspended his campaign in February of 2020.

This isn’t a hard hitting interview with the goal of debating. The purpose of Cook on Monday Morning is to inspire others to take action and affect change. Senator Bennet is doing his best at that, as do all my guests I have on the podcast.

We didn’t have as much time to dive into issues as I would have liked, but I hope to continue to interview policy makers at the local and highest levels of government.

Action: Subscribe and Like Cook on Monday Morning on YouTube! We’re close to 200 subscribers and we’re still pushing to get to 1,000. If everyone that reads the newsletters subscribes and asks a friend to do it also, we’ll get to our ultimate goal.

Senator Bennet’s Book: The Land of Flickering Light: Restoring America in an Age of Broken Politics.
